My description and what I am looking for

I am looking for a Happy, successful, "at peace with himself man" in the Baltimore/Annapolis/DC area.
First and foremost, I want a real, true companion to share my love of the ocean and my enjoyment of hiking and walking. I keep myself physically, spiritually and intellectually fit, and I want to be with a man who has done the same. I am attractive and youthful in appearance: My age is always guessed 10 to 12 years younger than I actually am. I think it's a combination of good genes as well as teaching lively, energetic kids every day. However, it's also having a happy and enthusiastic attitude; and it's about living life to the fullest and being sucessful in my career. So please, if you've read this far and you're realizing that we don't share these same qualities and passions; read no further. I am not the lady you are looking for nor are you the gentleman for me. All of the above is too important to me to have you not take every part of it to heart.
If however, you are a lover of the beach, of hiking, and long brisk walks; and you are also a healthy, happy, successful gentleman who is at peace with himself; well then, please do read on. (: Do you also enjoy family celebrations, holiday fun, good friends, good food and good conversation? I definitely love these things. However, as wonderful as this all is, and realizing fully exactly how lucky I am to have all this happening with friends and family, I want to share them with a special someone. I want someone to reach out and hold my hand, I want to lay my head on someone's shoulder...and know that there is a soft place to fall when the going gets tough.
I am very much of an independent thinker when it comes to religious, political and social issues; and I believe that many of our social ills would be solved if our society would stop swinging the pendulum. I am neither left nor right; Democrat nor Republican. I carefully examine issues and then try to arrive on a decison that would effect the greatest amount of good for the greatest number of people - whether it's "Politically Correct" or not.
I have a Master's in Education and have been teaching in Anne Arundel County Public Schools in MD for the last four years. Prior to that, I spent 22 years in different parochial schools and I have taught every grade from K-8. I love teaching and think of it as a vocation rather than a job. I am a life-long learner and, for me, the best thing about teaching is that I get to learn something new every day.
I want to find a gentleman who can appreciate my ideas and my profession - with all its demands. I want a man who will value my energy and enthusiasm. I want to find that ocean lover/hiker guy who could eventually become my lover and soul mate.
